Some universities accept credits for Community College Online degree programs

The number of students who enroll in online college courses has risen by 800% in the last 9 years. Not surprisingly, enrollment in online degree programs increased by more than one million students in 2010 - and that number is expected to continue rising - bachelor's degree at community college.

Online education, sometimes referred to as distance learning, offers an opportunity for nontraditional students - such as having to raise children or work full-time work - to continue their education at a time convenient and flexible in general. Those who succeed will get a certificate and given the opportunity to find a better paying job or get a promotion at your current company.

Until now, if a student held an associate degree from a community college, would have to seek a bachelor's degree from schools like Kaplan, Phoenix or ITT tech. While these schools are accredited and provide a quality education, a lot of students believe they will gain more prestige and possibly land a better position if they win the extent of the traditional 4-year universities, namely Harvard, Stanford and the University of "insert your state here."

In an effort to help these non-traditional students earn their degree online, community colleges throughout the United States are implementing the credit transfer agreements with the larger universities. This allows associate degree holders to transfer their credits to a line of quality four-year degree in an accredited and respected university.

And if traditional "big name" universities are not your style, there is no need to lose sleep. Technical schools around the country are giving their students the opportunity to earn a bachelor's degree online as well. So the opportunities are there. In fact, abundant.

If you've been thinking about getting your degree online four years, now the ball is in their court and it's up to you to search and find the school four years online that is best for you. Take your time and do your due diligence. Remember that there are a lot of websites out there that will trick your personal information and give nothing in return.
